On A Roll

First, I would like to thank you all for the nice comments about Scott. My husband has worn it several times and really likes it!

Woohoo, knocked another one off of my UFO list. Y'all probably don't remember this one because it was started so long ago. :) It is Stripes and Webs Boatneck from The Pleasures of Knitting. This one languished forever because I didn't take the time to seam it. I first attempted to sew the yoke on a couple years ago and had such trouble. Finally (after 3 years) it is done. And I am quite happy with it. It fits me like it was made for me. (Imagine that!) But I have had trouble in the past with making the right size, and this one is a winner!

So I had a moment of weakness when I saw the WEBS Rowan Grab Bag Blowout. Made a huge impulse purchase. Couldn't resist the 50 balls of Rowan goodness. I figured that I can sell that which I don't like. My grab bag consisted of:

Soft Baby
All Seasons Cotton
Holiday
Handknit DK Cotton
Cotton Rope

Love, love, love! I do realize that I said I wouldn't buy yarn till I finished many of my UFO's (and I would knit my stash before buying). But since I had finished 2 that have been languishing for years, I felt I could splurge a little! Heehee, oh well!

My sister came home from Austria this week. She thought that just my Dad was picking her up at the airport. But my mom and I surprised her as well. The look on her face was priceless! We had been lurking behind a huge pole for about an hour and a half (she was one of the last to get through customs). It was awesome. I am really happy to have her home and safe. It certainly was nice to see her after 3 1/2 months. Plus, she is still raving about the legwarmers and says that I can keep making them for her, if I want. It is so nice to know that they were useful and appreciated. Makes a knitter happy!
