She is here! Our own little pirate, Ms. Grace O'Malley (Gracie for short). We wanted to give her a piratical name due to her adorable eye patch and Grace lived during one of my favorite periods of English history.
Whew, though.
Gracie, leave it. Leave it. Good girl. Go potty. Off. Good Gracie. Go potty. Good potty! Gracie, leave it. Leave it. Good girl. Go potty. Off. Good Gracie. Go potty. Good potty!
(I think you get the picture!). Man you can't leave your eyes from them for one second!!
She LOVES our yard and running in the grass. She has got these huge paws and legs that she hasn't grown into yet. She looks funny when she runs right now. And such a prancing puppy!
Squeek doesn't quite know what to think. Gracie obviously wants to play and Squeek keeps hissing at her when she is too close. At one point Squeek ran under the bed and Gracie wiggled her way under after her. Suddenly there is hissing, a thwap thwap and Gracie backs up at high speed. Since then she hasn't been getting in Squeek's grill too much. And Squeek keeps coming out into the living room to constantly check it out. All good things I think!
We can't quite believe that we finally have a dog around here. My hubby is taking some half days for the next week (parental leave and all!) to spend some time with her and start training.
Thank you for all the kind words and advice given the other day! We definately need to do some puppy proofing and will be getting some baby gates tomorrow. Apparently there were dryer sheets behind the washer that I had no clue were there!
Will keep you all updated!
