Least Favorite

I can't quite decide which is my least favorite part of knitting. Is it the blocking or the seaming? I seem to get held up at both spots. Currently Scott is sitting in a bag waiting to be seamed and zippered.

Meadow had likewise been sitting in a bag for blocking. But I finally forced myself to do it. I just find blocking so boring and time consuming. Making sure everything is perfect. Measuring and pinning it all out. Just to realize that one armhole width is 3 inches and the other is 2. Arggh, I could definitely do without it!! But here she is, all pinned out and correct

Realized after the fact that I had forgot to knit the armhole edgings. Oh well. Will do that right before seaming.

Yep, I think I dislike them evenly enough.

I have been knitting away like crazy on Forecast. Got one sleeve done and half of the other. Feel a determination to get lagging projects out of here. Why does this cardigan look so funny laying there? Good thing it looks good on, because I don't think anyone would buy/make this based upon this picture.

I hate sewing in sleeves most of all!

Forescast is going to look SO much better when you're wearing it. :-)

I'm never as precise as you are with the blocking. I usually just lay them down on a towel, turn the iron on the highest steam setting and steam block all my pieces, then seam them together. I really don't mind seaming either... it's the sewing in of ends that always hangs me up!

I have a strong dislike for blocking, seeming and sewing in the loose ends. It pains me greatly to get those tasks completed, and that would be why I have many UFOs.
